Preferred has actively been involved in the industrial and commercial cleaning industry for over 48 years. We have completed projects of all sizes from multi-million-dollar Hazmat projects down to simple office cleaning jobs. All of our employees are trained annually on multiple safety and hazardous awareness related programs along with the medical clearance and fit tests to wear and use respirators.

We are primarily following the CDC’s recommendations and guidelines. For the majority of the facilities we are working in we clean and disinfect with a 6 step process.

Clean & Disinfect Process

PRE-CLEAN
Remove excess waste/debris by wiping or pre-rinsing.
MAIN CLEAN
Clean surface using a detergent.
RINSE
Remove detergent.
SANITIZE
Kill the bacteria with approved disinfectant
FINAL RINSE
Remove the disinfectant.
DRYING
Remove all moisture.

A recent study found that the COVID-19 coronavirus can survive up to four hours on copper, up to 24 hours on cardboard, and up to two to three days on plastic and stainless steel. The researchers also found that this virus can hang out as droplets in the air for up to three hours before they fall. But most often they will fall more quickly.
